As you prepare to move to Canberra and into one of the University approved residences, we know that you are both excited and a little nervous.  You will be well supported by capable residential staff who are there to help you, guide you and support you as you settle into your new home from home.

We also encourage you to learn a little more about your residence and our campus before you arrive as this will help you to settle in quickly.  We have put together some guides and information booklets that you may need to refer throughout your stay at our student residences.

Residential Handbook

The Residential Handbook aims to provide residents with a reference to policies, procedures, administration and facilities for each Residence. The Handbook forms part of your Occupancy Agreement so we urge you to read it carefully. Please direct any enquiries to the front office at the Residence in which you reside. The Residential Handbook may be reviewed and/or amended at any time, only students under contract will be notified of changes.

Room Guides

Room Guide for Halls

The complete guide to operating the furniture and fittings in your room.

Preparing to move into Graduate House

This Room Guide is prepared to acquaint you with the general information and services available to you as a resident living in Graduate House.

Preparing to move into an ANU Lodge

To help you as you prepare to move into one of Lodges, we have prepared a welcome to ANU Lodge and a handy guide which we hope will be of value to you. Our Lodges are managed by a capable, friendly and student-focused team. The pastoral care and academic support programs on offer at the Lodges are aligned with the same programs offered by the Halls. All the Lodges are of a modern design and provide comfort and an ability to relax, study, cook and share meals has been considered. From roof-top gardens to ground floor BBQ and entertainment areas, the design in your apartment or in the communal spaces of the Lodges is aimed at creating shared spaces of meeting and socialising.
